Rolling Stone magazine also ranked him as one of the greatest singers of all time. In 2017, Lincoln Park declared November 17 as “Bob Seger Day” in honor of his contribution to music. He has been active in the music industry for over five decades and has influenced many rock and roll artists. The first record he bought was “Come Go with Me” by The Del-Vikings, which was a popular song in 1957. He was particularly impressed by Little Richard’s music. Seger’s early musical inspirations were Little Richard and Elvis Presley. He also attended Lincoln Park High School for a while. He was interested in sports and ran track and field in high school.
