they had a weather-seal all the way around it and looked like the JDM visors (they were much more $ than JDM visors though). One time i saw a set at speedstar that didn't need any tape at all. I would recommend the replicas that don't have clips. i sealed it with weather-caulking along the top of the visor which turned out looking like shit. those clips ended up making the 3M tape seperate a little bit form the door frame and caused a leak where the clips are. The JDM visors have metal clips that sit underneath the 3M tape. it ended up peeling my tint in the bottom corner of my windows because of all the pressure on the window. the space where the visor slides in by the side mirror is too tight. 2023 Honda Ridgeline Protective products from WeatherTech. i re-installed the visors and had the same problem. CargoTech Pro Professional cargo containment system for trucks, SUVs and vans. I took them off again and shaved them down to paper-thinness with a knife and sanded them to smooth it out. I dont blame Weathertech or Toyota, I think this is just a risk when installing. if i didn't put it all the way up it would sit on an angle a rattle like crazy. visor rattles, on both sides (if the window is cracked). whenever i put down my window, it would go back up on an angle until it touched the top. I put the visors on and left them for 2 days in the sweltering heat with the windows up like the instructions said. I guess this is what people meant when they say 'you get what you pay for' =/ It might not be the situation for every weathertech owner but I'm just sharing my experience. I really liked how the window visor looks on my car, but this time I will be ordering myself some authentic jdm visors (preferrably with 3M tape) as the weathertech ones doesn't come with double side tape. If it was the opposite, the visor would've hit the other car and I would be at fault. THANK GOD I was on the right lane as there was a car to my left. Today, just now, when I was cruising down a road with my windows fully opened, the passenger side visor SNAPPED and flew out to the side of the road. After 2 weeks of driving around, I thought it was no problem. I did some minor sanding and was able to get it fitted into my windows and have the windows close properly. When I test fitted it, my windows wont close properly and after some research, it was recommended that a bit of sanding was required to make it work properly. You should NOT have to put up with fitment problems with visors. So I recently bought a pair of weathertech window visor off another member here. I don't feel cheated- my adaptations make them work perfectly. I use WeatherTech front and rear digital-fit mats, but had to adapt them to fit properly. I personally have bought both the Mugen and the OEM visors for two Fits because of warnings about fitment issues from WeatherTech. Thanks for your warning, and good luck in finding a good solution for your own problem. It is disappointing to find out that this otherwise reliable manufacturer has fitment problems on Fits with their visors. There have been a lot of discussions about the value of WeatherTech visors on the forums. If you buy a heat gun from Harbor Freight or some other source, you will find ways to use it again. This is a pure display of commitment to quality. Globally, WeatherTech’s tinted Side Window Deflectors are the only deflectors fabricated with an approved glazing material by DOT (U.S. It's up to you- try to adapt the poorly fitting visors to be a reliable fit on your Fit, or buy new ones that are MADE for the Fit. These WeatherTech products undergo rigorous testing and quality control inspections. Replacing the badly fitting visors with either OEM or Mugen clip-mounted visors absolutely WOULD work. I'm debating on returning these and purchasing ones with clips that I feel confident I won't lose them.I don't have your car with your new visors (obviously), but I would bet that a folded piece of thin plastic, like snipped from a milk carton or some other plastic container, could be heated with a heat gun and folded sharply to act as a spacer to hold the visors in place. The fronts fit great, but the rears are very loose in the channels.
